The STOP project has a stand at the science festival in Sofia (Bulgaria) which is currently taking place (11th – 14th May, 2023). Project members from the femtoscience group of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences are explaining our aims with the aid of plasticine models of bacteria and of surface topography. This group uses lasers to alter the structure of surfaces at very small scales, in order to make them less attractive to bacteria. Within the project, we will refine this techniques and show that they can feasibly be scaled up for commericial production.
