Although not organising an event specifically for #IWD2025 (8th March 2025), the STOP project is proud to have so many female scientists involved, especially in senior roles – the scientific coordinator and half of the work package leaders are female. A publication from the project, “Materials derived from the human elastin-like polypeptide fusion with an antimicrobial peptide strongly promote cell adhesion” was included in the UK Royal Society of Chemistry’s themed collection “Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025: Women in Materials Science” as one of 124 impactful publications from 2024 selected from the journals Materials Horizons, Journal of Materials Chemistry A, B and C and Materials Advances.
